"True Story" Guidlines

Include the words "True Story" in the subject line of your email.
You may submit your story in the body of your email or as an attachment in one of the following file formats: .doc, .pdf, or .txt
Stories must be relevant to the content of this website.
Keep your story between 500 to 800 words.
No profanity.
Terms
You agree that if the story you are submitting did or did not happen to you, you will not divulge any names, addresses, telephone numbers, buildings, locations or any place or any thing that would reveal or invade the privacy of the victims and any other people involved in your story. Names of people and places may be substituted, however; you must state “The names of people and places have been substituted” at the end of your story. Stories that include names or specific locations will be rejected if the “The names of people and places have been substituted” statement is not included as stipulated above.
We do not guarantee your story will be accepted nor do we guarantee if your story is accepted, when or if your story will be published.
You agree and understand you will not be paid money or any other form of compensation if we accept and publish your story or retain your story in our archive for periodic or future publishing.
We reserve the right to:
Include advertisements on pages your story may appear.
Remove any story, for any reason at any time without notice.
Reject any story deemed inappropriate, illegal or objectionable content.
Publish links related to your story.
Change these terms at any time. Notification of change will be posted prior to effective date.
